U-22 Webster Racing, LLC Press Release

Webster Racing, LLC is proud to announce the addition of Eric Bell to the U-22 team. Bell will be taking on the role of Crew Chief for the 2012 race season. The 32 year old Madison, Indiana native has been a part of Unlimited racing for the past 20 years. More importantly for the U-22 team, Bell spent most of those years working on the team’s current hull.

Eric grew up in Madison, Indiana. With the encouragement of his 8th grade Industrial Arts teacher, he began volunteering for the U-6 Miss Madison Racing Team at the age of 13. From his start of passing tools, he progressed to working on the engines and gear boxes until 2001 when he acted as the team’s Assistant Crew chief and then Crew Chief in 2002 and 2003. Eric also worked as Crew Chief for the Formula Boat’s U-5 for a year before returning to the Madison Team as a volunteer from 2007 to the present.

Eric currently resides in Lanesville, Indiana with his wife, Connie, and two daughters. When not racing, he works as an auto body technician/mechanic, volunteers as a fire fighter, and plays in a band.

The U-22 team is heading into its 4th season on the H1 Unlimited circuit with the goal of greatly improving last year’s effort and demonstrating the consistency and performance of a championship caliber team.
